New Letterpress Cards
Friday, September 10, 2010 at 10:19AM I had some new business cards printed up recently and I went for letterpress this time. Offset and digital are nice, especially because they're so sleek, but I wanted some real texture this time. I love letterpress because it captures the moment in time when the plate and the sheet converged. Jami Heinricher of The Sherwood Press did a great job crafting them for me in a minimal one-color (black) on 110C Lettra in Pearl White (she captured this photo of the cards just coming out of the press).
The Sherwood Press is a 69-year-old letterpress print shop tucked away in the evergreens in Olympia, WA. I'm a big fan of the small guy (or gal) and was stoked to find such a great print shop in-state. I have a few more projects I'm cooking up that I'll be sending their way, check back to see the results as they're sure to be awesome!
